The Information Technology (IT) Unit is a strategic support Unit responsible for driving digital transformation, ensuring uninterrupted technology services, and maintaining efficient ICT operations across the organization. With a dedicated workforce of 33 professional staff, the Unit provides reliable technological solutions that enhance productivity, communication, and service delivery.
The department plays a critical role in managing the institution’s digital infrastructure, supporting users, safeguarding data systems, and ensuring that all technology resources function optimally.
Core Responsibilities
Software Management
The Unit oversees the deployment, maintenance, and support of business applications and enterprise systems. This includes system updates, troubleshooting, user access management, and ensuring smooth operation of critical software platforms.
Network Services
The department manages the organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring secure and stable internet connectivity, internal communications, wireless access, and network security across all departments and facilities.
Hardware Support
The IT Unit is responsible for procurement support, installation, maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management of computer systems, printers, servers, and other ICT equipment.
Help Desk Services
A responsive Help Desk team provides first-line technical support to staff, addressing ICT-related issues promptly. This service ensures minimal downtime and efficient resolution of user requests and incidents.
