STATUTORY FUNCTIONS FOR RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT
Assessing patients and their Clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiologic technique.
Generating, keeping and maintaining up to date records of patients that undergo radiological investigations.
Reporting of Radiographs and CT Images.
Performing a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high quality images.
Observing and maintaining contact and care with patients during waiting, examination and post examination stay in the department.
Collaborating with RET during training and workshop to produce image for teaching.
Fluoroscopic screening of patient in complex Orthopaedic Procedures in this centre like, Interlocking Nails, Dynamic Hip Compression, Slipped Surgeries, e.t.c using Image Intensifier.
Interventional Radiology Procedures using ultrasound and fluoroscopy.
Taking responsibility for radiation safety in our work area including checking equipment for dual functions/errors.  Managing referrals to ensure patient receive radiation as low as reasonably possible and supervision of staff and patient in radiation work areas.
Supervising and assisting Students and other staff and delivering appropriate educational training.
Providing ward radiography to patients whose condition could not allow coming to the main department.
Providing support and reassurance to patients taking into consideration their physical and psychological needs.
Assisting in the storage, filling and retrieving of radiographs for teaching, research and clinical uses.
Contributing positively in increasing the IGR of this institution.
